The final judging for Project81 concluded last week, can we have a drum roll please, the top winning product of 2015 goes to Bashar Zapen from our Cape Town campus!
Congratulations on this awesome achievement, we are so proud of you! Bashar’s winning product ‘The Charging Sleeve’ has won him a range of prizes including; his 2015 tuition fees paid back to him in full and the opportunity to professionally develop his product into a prototype with PDTS.
We were able to capture his moment of excitement when he was announced as the winner! Well done Bashar you rock!
We are proud to announce that Hugo Van Niekerk from Inscape PTA has been selected as a finalist at the Sasol New Signatures Art Competition. He will be exhibiting his artwork “Die Arsenaal” at the Pretoria Art Museum from 3rd September to 4th October 2015. Good luck Hugo!!!
Inscape is proud to announce that 4 of our 3rd year, Graphic Design students from the Durban campus have been chosen to participate in the Loeries Awards 2015. Students will be required to create a portfolio that will be showcased at a Creative Week to be held in August. We wish our students, Emily Hollis, Verushka Naidoo, Muhammad Amajee, and Caylee Botha guided by lecturer, Chantelle Warburton every success!!
It is with admiration that we report that Tiffany Onderstall, who is a first year BDes student from our Cape Town Campus, has been announced the overall winner of the magnificent 2015 Adobe Certified Associate South African Championship.
The emphasis of the design challenge was to create an A3 poster that “implores urgent change in empowering Africa’s Youth” using Adobe Photoshop, the purpose of which to make local as well as international individuals, leaders and companies want to invest in Africa’s youth due to its state of emergency. We are proud to announce that of the 15 entries that were received nationally, 8 of them were IEG Cape Town students. A special Thank You goes out to Netlearn and Certiport for allowing us this fantastic opportunity.
Tiffany we salute you on your achievement as you move on to represent Inscape and SA, in Dallas Texas at the Worldwide Championship to be held in August. Well done and Good Luck!!!!

It’s that time of the year again when the coveted Vodacom July horse racing day is hosted in Durban. An event of this magnitude is one of thee most sort after platforms to showcase Fashion Designers.
We have the honour of having one of our very own, represent Inscape Education Group, Clara Vach we commend you on being selected as a Finalist in the Young Designer Award. We wish you every success in this endeavour and will be routing for you all the way!
Clara is a final year Fashion Design student at our Durban Campus. If you are able to attend this phenomenal event that is taking place tomorrow at the Greyville Racecourse, please go out and show your support to her!
Homewood is running a competition to discover and promote South Africa’s emerging design talent. The competition brief is to design and create a ‘space’ of approximately 36 sq. metres (6 x 6) in the Homewood Kramerville showroom, using Homewood furniture, fabrics and papers from Hertex, soft goods and rugs from Hertex, paints and colours from Annie Sloan, and a R5000 budget to accessorize and complete the space. Spaces may be any room(s) or spaces (patios or gardens) in the home, office or a commercial environment.
Congratulations to Thabisa Mjo from Mash.T Design studio, who has been chosen as the June/July finalist in the 2015 Homewood Emerging Interior Designer competition. Thabisa Mjo is a Johannesburg Inscape Alumni who completed both her Interior Decorating and Architectural Draughting courses with us.
