The Inscape Midrand Learning Hub is conveniently situated midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Midrand, as a key growth area with easy access to Centurion, Sandton, and Kyalami, combines the convenience of access with a quiet setting. In the area, you will find ‘The Mall of Africa’ and many large businesses such as PwC, Vodacom, and Microsoft that have moved their offices to the Midrand area. The area hosts large conferences and expos such as the African Construction Expo, Print and Sign Africa, and Cloud Conference. The Learning Hub is accessible by car, as it is close to the N1 and N14 highways. For those using public transport, there are taxis, ride-hailing services, and Gautrain bus pick-up points within walking distance. Many students choose to make use of the range of local accommodation available in Midrand.

The Midrand Learning Hub attracts students from every walk of life, making it a culturally rich environment. The diverse student population are drawn largely from the Johannesburg Metropolis. The Learning Hub has a dynamic atmosphere with the average day seeing students balance hard work and play. Lecturers actively facilitate classes and students are engaged, energetic, vocal, and collaborative. The lecturers and staff at Inscape Midrand have built active relationships with local design businesses and suppliers and students benefit from outings, industry visits, and talks from leading designers and creatives.

Learning Hub Life

The Midrand Learning Hub has studios equipped with 360° speakers, studio computers and HD projectors. In addition, a fully equipped workshop allows students to experiment with making design products. A well-stocked library and a sample library encourage students to read, peruse, touch, and test materials. There is a tuckshop and outdoor braai area where students can relax, complete assignments, and collaborate.

The Learning Hub is open from 06:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday. Students take full advantage of the free Wi-Fi on site which allows them to research using the online library, access LinkedIn Learning tutorials, and check their assignments on Grammarly.
